Dhaka University (DU) will resume in-person classes and exams from Wednesday (May 8) as ongoing heatwave comes down to a tolerable level across the country.
"DU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal approved the decision today", said a press release signed by DU public relation director Mahmud Alam.
On April 21, the DU authorities decided to hold classes virtually due to the heatwave that scorched Bangladesh over the past several weeks.
The intense heat wave is now at bearable level, and so Dhaka University will resume its in person classes from Wednesday (May 8) and the examinations will be held in person as usual, the notification reads.
