The body of popular singer Shafin Ahmed has arrived in the country on Monday from the United States.
Shafin Ahmed died on July 25 in a hospital in Virginia, United States.
Hamin Ahmed, elder brother of Shafin told the media on Monday that Shafin's body reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (July 29) afternoon.
According to Hamin Ahmed, a Qulkhawni (special prayer) will be held at Gulshan Community Mosque beside Banani graveyard after Jumma prayers on Friday to seek eternal peace for Shafin Ahmed's departed soul.
The singer’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at Dar al Noor Islamic Community Mosque in Virginia, US on Saturday, two days after his passing.
His second namaz-e-janaza will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque in the capital on Tuesday.
Following the funeral, Shafin Ahmed will be buried at Banani graveyard, where his father Kamal Das Gupta, and mother Firoza Begum are also laid to rest.
