Tapashee Tabassum Urmi, an assistant commissioner (executive magistrate) at Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner's Office, has been suspended temporarily after being On Special Duty (OSD), following her controversial remark regarding the interim government on Facebook.
A gazette notification from the Ministry of Public Administration was issued in this regard on Sunday evening. It said apart from dismissal, action against her as per the rules is under process.
Tapasheee wrote on Facebook, “The chief adviser (Prof Yunus) of the interim government, which has no constitutional basis, said reset button has been pushed and pasts have been removed. He (Yunus) erased all the pasts and histories of the country clicking the reset button. Is it so easy! Your (Yunus) countdown has started.”
The assistant commissioner also gave several other posts taking stance in favour of the Awami League-led government ousted by the student-people mass uprising.
