The High Court on Monday observed that the people of Bangladesh have accepted the interim government as legitimate, leaving no room for dispute over its validity.
The High Court bench, comprising Justice Fatema Najib and Justice Sikder Md Mahmudur Razi, made the observation while hearing a writ petition challenging the oath of the interim government.
The government was formed based on the Supreme Court's opinion under Article 106 of the Constitution.
Senior lawyer Advocate Mohsin Rashid, who filed the writ petition, represented the case in court.
