
A fire that broke out in a warehouse at the tannery market in Hazaribagh, Dhaka, has been brought under control.
Fire Brigade and Civil Defence media wing officer Talha bin Zasim said the fire originated in the godown situated on the fourth floor of Tannery Raw Market, Hazaribagh, around 2:15 pm.
Everything on two floors (fourth and fifth) was gutted, he said, adding, however, no casualties were reported, he said.
Eleven firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 4:45 pm, the officer said.
The extent of the damage and cause behind the fire could not be ascertained without a thorough investigation, Talha added.
