
Addressing the students injured during the July uprising, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman today assured them that the army would always be by their side.
The army chief came up with this remark while speaking at an iftar event hosted by the Bangladesh Army at Sena Malancha in Dhaka Cantonment in honour of the students injured during the July uprising.
The army chief said, "Do not lose morale. You are the nation's pride. You have sacrificed a lot for the country and the people. "I assure you that we will always be by your side. The army will always be by the side of the injured," he added.
Senior army officials, distinguished civilians, and directors of various government hospitals attended the event, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
After the program, Eid gifts were distributed to injured individuals on behalf of the Bangladesh Army.
It is to be noted that, since the July Mass Uprising, 4,215 individuals have received medical treatment at various Combined Military Hospitals (CMH) across the country, with 989 successful surgeries conducted for those injured.
