The new Bangladesh Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Md Rais Hasan Sarower, ndc, presented his Credentials to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the Sakhir Palace on February 25 2025. Moreover, the Ambassadors of Serbia, Türkiye, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia also presented their Credentials on the same day.
During his time with His Majesty King, the newly appointed Ambassador conveyed the greetings and felicitations from the Head of State, the Head of Government, and the people of Bangladesh to His Majesty King. He then expressed his profound gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Majesty just one week after his arrival in the Kingdom.
H.E. Mr. Rais Hasan took the opportunity to relay special greetings from Hon’ble Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, H.E. Professor Dr. Muhammad Younus, who commended His Majesty and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their visionary leadership and the Kingdom’s remarkable progress. Moreover, he praised His Majesty’s wise leadership in promoting peace in the region and beyond, particularly showing his admiration for the peaceful coexistence initiatives taken by him.
The Ambassador expressed the deep appreciation of the Government and people of Bangladesh to His Majesty the King for hosting a good number of Bangladeshi nationals in the Kingdom. He also thanked His Majesty for graciously donating a plot of land in 2005 for the Bangladesh School building.
As the ceremonial meeting came to a conclusion, His Majesty King Hamad wished the newly appointed Ambassador success during his tenure in Bahrain. He assured of the Kingdom’s and also his personal commitment to providing all necessary support and cooperation to achieve the shared goals of deepening the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
During the Ceremony, H.E. Mr. Rais was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Dilruba Akhter. The audience was also comprised of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of HM the King; His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Commander of the Royal Guard; Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court; and Major General Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Fadhala, Chief of Royal Protocol.
It may be noted that the newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain, presented a copy of his Credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, on February 22 2025.
