Eleven more children died with measles and measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours till Friday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new deaths, two were confirmed as measles-related, while the remaining nine were classified as suspected.
With this, the total number of confirmed deaths from measles has risen to 85, and suspected deaths to 414, bringing the total number of deaths to 499 since March 15.
The report shows that during the same period, 1,261 patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals nationwide, of whom 54 had lab-confirmed measles.
Since 15 March, the total number of people with measles-like symptoms has reached 60,540, while 8,329 measles cases have been confirmed through laboratory testing.
A total of 47,511 suspected measles patients have been hospitalized since March 15, of whom 43,411 have recovered and been discharged.
