At least four Bangladeshi nationals were injured in an Iranian drone attack at Kuwait's main international airport, as the Gulf nation faces growing security threats amid the ongoing regional conflict in West Asia, according to the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait.

The injured Bangladeshis have been admitted to Farwaniya Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

The embassy said it is closely monitoring their condition and maintaining contact with the relevant authorities to ensure necessary assistance.

According to the embassy, Kuwait's airspace has recently come under repeated drone and missile attacks amid the ongoing regional crisis in West Asia.

In the latest incident, an Indian citizen was killed and 63 people were wounded on Wednesday, as conflict flared between Tehran and US forces in the Gulf.

The embassy stated that it is regularly following up on the health condition of the injured Bangladeshis and remains engaged with Kuwaiti authorities regarding their treatment and welfare.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti government has issued special security directives, warning that photographing or filming rocket or drone attacks, as well as interception operations, is a punishable offence under local law.

The Bangladesh Embassy has urged expatriate Bangladeshis to comply with Kuwaiti laws and refrain from sharing such photos or videos on social media platforms.

The notice also said that the growing number of casualties has created a shortage of blood at Kuwait's Central Blood Bank. In response, the embassy called on eligible Bangladeshi expatriates to donate blood and encourage others to do the same.

The embassy further advised all Bangladeshi nationals in Kuwait to remain vigilant and strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities to ensure their safety during the ongoing security situation.

Kuwait's military condemned the strike as an act of "criminal Iranian aggression", while Iran's Revolutionary Guards accused US forces of provoking a response by targeting a tanker and a communications tower on the country's Qeshm Island.
