National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam has urged an impartial investigation over the fighter jet crash into the Milestone School and College campus in the city’s Uttara area.
“The government should form a high-level investigation committee. The committee should also include representatives from outside the government and school committees,” he said while addressing a press conference at NCP’s temporary office in the city’s Banglamotor area on Tuesday.
Nahid said, “There is a campaign on hiding bodies of victims after the crash. A clear statement should have come from the government in this regard.”
“The government should keep the people update that how many students, teachers and staffs were there at the time of accident and how many casualties were counted. The government should publish the exact number of injured and dead people and publicise it widely.”
