A two-day 5th 'Gregorian National Knowledge Fiesta-2025' kicked off on Friday at St. Gregory's High School and College premises, a traditional educational institution in the city.
The main slogan of this festival is - 'The wisdom of youth — the power to change the world'. About 55 educational institutions in Dhaka city participated in the fest.
At the Knowledge Fiesta, students will compete in individual, team, and submission-based categories. The festival includes— Bengali Quiz, English Quiz, Single Quiz, Drawing and Handwriting, Science Quiz, English Quiz, Single Quiz, Sports Quiz, Movie Quiz, Heroes Assemble, Anime Quiz, History Quiz, Brainbuzz, IT Quiz, Multimedia Presentation, Drawing and Handwriting.
The Principal of St. Gregory High School and College, Brother Placid Peter Rebeiro, presided over the inauguration ceremony, where Brother Leonard Chandan Rozario, Vice Principal of St. Gregory's High School & College, was present as a special guest. The moderator of the Gregorian Knowledge Club and senior teacher of St Gregory High School and College, Patit Pabon Mondal, was also present at the event.
The festival will end with the prize distribution ceremony on Saturday at 4:30 pm. In the ceremony, Grn Dr Tahmeed Ahmed, Executive Director of the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR, B), will be present as the chief guest, while Grn Prof Dr Reaz Mobarak, Professor & Head, High Dependency & Isolation Unit, Bangladesh Sishu Hospital and Institute, will present as a special guest. Brother Placid Peter Rebeiro, the Principal of St. Gregory High School and College, will preside over the ceremony.
