Eleven people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,169 this year.
During the period, 2,363 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services press release.
Currently, 8,174 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 2,410 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 5,764 are in other divisions.
As many as 2,39,614 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. Some 2,30,271 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
