Eight more people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,484 this year.
During the period, 1,740 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country," the DGHS daily statement added.
A total of 6,017 dengue patients including 1,545 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
According to the statement, from January 1 to November 11 this year, a total of 2,93,572 people have been affected by dengue across the country. Among them 2,86,071 patients were released from different hospitals.
