Twelve more people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,496 this year.
During the period, 1,470 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country," the DGHS daily statement added.
Of them, 319 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, while 1,151 were admitted to different hospitals outside the Dhaka.
A total of 5,905 dengue patients are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
According to the statement, from January 1 to November 14 this year, a total of 2,95,042 people have been affected by dengue across the country. Among them 2,87,641 patients were released from different hospitals.
