Four more people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,543 this year.
During the period, 914 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country," the DGHS daily statement added.
A total of 5,186 dengue patients, including 1,307 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
According to the statement, from January 1 to November 18 this year, a total of 2, 99,964 people have been affected by dengue across the country. Among them 2, 93,235 patients were released from different hospitals.
