Three more suspected measles deaths have been reported across the country in the past 24 hours as of Friday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same period, some 947 patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals, while 42 cases were later confirmed through laboratories as measles.
Data compiled by the DGHS shows that since March 15, a total of 3,776 people have been hospitalised for measles-like symptoms, of whom 2,527 have been discharged after treatment, while 99 with symptoms died. Of them, nine were diagnosed with the disease.
Since Mar 15, 5,792 people exhibiting measles symptoms have sought hospital care nationwide.
