10 more children died with measles and measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new deaths, one was confirmed as measles-related, while the remaining nine were classified as suspected.
During the same period, 95 confirmed measles cases and 1,166 suspected cases were reported nationwide.
According to the DGHS data, since 15 March, a total of 40,491 suspected measles cases have been identified nationwide. Of them a total of 5,313 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
DGHS data show that between 15 March and 3 May, a total of 27,816 suspected patients have been hospitalised so far. Of them, 24,090 have been recovered and released.
The DGHS said the total number of confirmed measles deaths between March 15 and May 3 stood at 50. In addition, 244 children have died with symptoms consistent with measles.
