All government and private offices, including banks, insurance companies, and capital market institutions, will reopen today (Monday) after a seven-day public holiday for holy Eid-ul-Azha.
The government declared holidays from May 25 to 31 to mark the Eid celebration.
Combined with the weekend, government employees enjoyed a full seven days of leave.
After the long break, millions of working people are expected to return to their workplaces on Monday.
Although some banks operated on a limited scale before Eid, all banks will return to normal banking activities from Monday.
The number of people returning to the capital has increased following the Eid holidays. Working people are travelling back to the capital from different parts of the country by road, rail, and water routes.
As a result, traffic volume on various roads in the capital is gradually increasing.
