Actress Subarna Mustafa, a former member of Parliament for reserved women's seat of the 11th National Assembly, was prevented from leaving Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this morning.
It is learnt that Suborna Mustafa was going to Bangkok by a Thai Airways flight. However, the immigration police at the airport did not allow her to leave the country. Her husband Badrul Anam Saud was accompanying her. He was also not allowed to leave the country.
Immigration police sources said Suborna Mustafa was not allowed to leave the country due to "certain observations and objections" by an intelligence agency, but the actress was not detained.
