The Intelligence Department (DB) of the police arrested actress and producer Meher Afroz Shawon from the Dhanmondi area of the capital on Thursday night.
Confirming the matter, DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallik said Shaon has been arrested from Dhanmondi area of the capital on charges of state conspiracy. She was taken to DB office on Mintoo Road at about 8:15pm.
He said Shaon would be interrogated in DB custody regarding state conspiracy. Her remand will be sought by raising the specific case in court tomorrow.
