Nine people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Monday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,190 this year.
During the period, 561 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 2,048 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital city," the DGHS daily statement added.
A total of 8,224 dengue patients, including 2,410 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 2,44,698 dengue cases and 2,35,284 recoveries this year.
