Five more people have succumbed to dengue and 534 were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, bringing the death toll to 102 this year.
“During the period, 199 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city, while 333 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
This year, the total number of cases rose to 16,819 while 102 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.
