Three more children died with measles and measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours as of Wednesday morning, taking the total death toll to 166.
Among the deceased, one was a confirmed measles patient, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same 24-hour period, 1,032 patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals nationwide. Of these, 76 cases were laboratory-confirmed as measles.
DGHS data shows that between 15 March and 15 April, 19,161 suspected measles cases have been identified nationwide. Of them a total of 2,973 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
The DGHS said the total number of confirmed measles deaths between March 15 and April 15 stood at 32.
