A meeting between leaders of various political parties and Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus began around 6 pm today at the state guest house Jamuna, to discuss pressing national issues, including the upcoming election and political reforms.
A group of political leaders, including Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Col (Retd) Oli Ahmed and Nagorik Oikya leader Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Mujahidul Islam Selim, Ganosamhati Andolan Chief Coordinator Zonayed Saki, and AB party chief Mujibur Rahman Manju, among others, joined.
Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan and the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam were also present.
After his meeting with political leaders, Yunus is scheduled to hold another meeting with leaders of different Islamist parties and organisations, Chief Adviser's press wing said in a message.
In the second phase, Maulana Sadiqur Rahman, Maulana Rezaul Karim, Maulana Mamunul Haque, Maulana Ahmed Abdul Quader, Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, Maulana Manjurul Islam Affendi, Nurul Haque Noor, Maulana Musa Bin Izhar and Mufti Maulana Shakhawat Hossain Razi are scheduled to hold talks with the Chief Adviser.
