Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended the 'July National Convention' today (Saturday) at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Center (Bangabandhu International Conference Center) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital.
The 'July National Convention 2026' was organised to mark the second anniversary of the July 24 mass uprising and the second anniversary of '36 July'.
Jointly organised by 'July 24 Martyrs' Family Society" and 'We are July Warriors,' the event was attended by family members of the martyrs of mass uprising, injured activists undergoing treatment or recovered, cabinet members, parliament members, political leaders, and ambassadors and high commissioners from various countries.
The event was chaired by Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni.
As part of the 9-day programmes, a student rally will be held at the Central Shaheed Minar on August 3, where the Prime Minister will also attend as the chief guest.
Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has announced the nine-day programmes. It will begin on July 15 with a discussion at the TSC Auditorium of Dhaka University and conclude on August 3 with a student rally at the Central Shaheed Minar, where Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be present as the chief guest.
