BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman's electoral rally centering the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election begins in Barishal.
The rally began at about 11:30am on Wednesday (February 4) at historic Bell's Park ground in Barishal city. The BNP Chairman is set to address the rally as the chief guest at 12 noon.
Through the rally, Tarique Rahman has set his feet on the soil of Barishal after long 20 years. Leaders and workers from the grassroots level of the party thronged the meeting venue to have a glimpse of their beloved leader.
Apart from conveying electoral messages to the countrymen, Tarique Rahman will introduce the BNP and its alliance candidates in 21 seats of Barishal division.
A festive mood is prevailing among the leaders and workers of BNP and its associate organisations on the occasion of the arrival of the party chairman. The leaders and workers from six districts and upazilas have arrived in Barishal one day before the electoral rally. Arrival at Bell's Park after Tuesday afternoon, they were seen exchanging pleasantries with each other.
Barishal City BNP Member Secretary Ziauddin Sikder said not only the BNP leaders and workers, but also people from all walks of life remain present at the meeting venue. It is not possible to guess the number of people in open eyes. Technology will have to be used to determine the number of people attending the rally.
