Five more people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Monday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,554 this year.
During the period, 1,197 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country," the DGHS daily statement added.
A total of 4,653 dengue patients, including 904 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
According to the statement, from January 1 to November 20 this year, a total of 3, 02,452 people have been affected by dengue across the country. Among them 2, 96,245 patients were released from different hospitals.
