Eight more people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Monday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,606 this year.
During the period, 920 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country," the DGHS daily statement added.
A total of 3,493 dengue patients, including 1,011 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
According to the statement, from January 1 to November 27 this year, a total of 3,09,087 people have been affected by dengue across the country. Among them 3,03,988 patients were released from different hospitals.
