Eleven more children died with measles and measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new deaths, two were confirmed as measles-related, while the remaining nine were classified as suspected.
With this, the total number of confirmed deaths from measles has risen to 77, and suspected deaths to 398 since March 15.
During the same period, 1,264 new suspected measles cases were recorded. Of these, 73 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
According to the DGHS data, since 15 March, a total of 7,929 measles cases have been confirmed through laboratory testing.
Since March 15, a total of 43,983 suspected measles patients have been hospitalised, of whom 40,090 have recovered.
