Linking BNP Jamaat combine as a terrorist outfit, Sajeeb Wazed, ICT Affairs Advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, took a jibe at attacks on law enforcers as  he pointed out  these are aimed at bringing down a complete breakdown of law and order situation.

Sajeeb Wazed, a Harvard University alumni, also came down heavily on the recent public comment by a senior central BNP leader who openly glorified the brutal October 28 killing of  a police officer reportedly by BNP cadres.

Amid reports of involvement  of BNP men who brutally beaten a police officer to death, Nilufar Moni, a former lawmaker of BNP, claimed to “killing cops made their event a success”.

In reference to news report of  throwing of cocktail  on a police van in capital yesterday allegedly by members of BNP’s affiliate body on the ongoing 48 hour blockade, Sajeeb Wazed suggested “the terrorists attacked a police van clearly is an attempt to make the blockade a success”.

Embedded with his observation was a short video report compiling news reports on past attacks by police official is on picketers of @bdbnp78  student wing hurled cocktails on a police van to make their “ongoing blockade” a success.

The video also reminded since the wake of violence, targeted attacks on law enforcers became a hallmark of BNP Jamaat while between 2013 and 2015, over 90 police officers were killed reportedly by BNP Jamaat men.

His also referred to media reports that quoted security experts who believe such attacks on law enforcers are meant to seek for  a complete breakdown of law and order.

In the span of last seven days,  Sajeeb Wazed posted a series of tweets on X exposing the hypocrisy of BNP leaders who claimed their movement is designed to restore democracy.

Days back the unruly cadres beat a police officer to death, torched a #police hospital and injured over 100 officers, wrote Sajeeb Wazed.

Hailing  the gruesome  killing of the police officer, a senior # BNP leader publicly claimed “the killing made their event a success”, drawing concern from former police officers who  what called “a glaring effort to glorify killers”.

Importantly, BNP -Jamaat cadres killed at least 90 cops during countrywide arson and blockade, spanned over eight months, between 2013 and 2015.
