The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has thwarted 10 separate push-in attempts by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) to send Indian citizens into Bangladesh  illegally through various border points of the country over the past 24 hours.

When four to five individuals attempted to enter Bangladesh illegally through Jadavpur border area under Jhenaidah BGB Maheshpur Battalion (58 BGB), the BGB patrol team blocked them immediately. Faced with the BGB's firm stance, they retreated back into Indian territory.

The BGB Khulna Battalion (21 BGB) has thwarted an attempted push-in of several men and women by the BSF through Goga and Rudrapur border areas in Jashore. Owing to the preventive measures taken by the BGB, the BSF was forced to withdraw them from the border point.

BGB has foiled an illegal push-in attempt by the BSF along the Joypurhat border. Prompt resistant measures and heightened intelligence surveillance by the 20 BGB Battalion foiled the BSF's ill attempts to push-in its citizens into Bangladesh.

BGB is on high alert to foil any BSF push-in attempts along Chapainawabganj border. According to recent intelligence and social media sources, BGB has significantly intensified security and surveillance to prevent illegal entry.

The detention of two Bangladeshi nationals by the BSF opposite to Haripur border, under the jurisdiction of  Thakurgaon Battalion (50 BGB), is accurate as confirmed by recent official border security updates.

An Indian national, who was pushed into Bangladesh by the BSF at Rawshanpur border under the 18 BGB Battalion in Panchagarh, was detained by local residents and sent back to India with the help of BGB.

It is learnt that 22 detained individuals have been kept in a holding center set up by the Indian police at Chandanpark under English Bazar Police Station in Malda district of India, oppositev to the Sonamasjid border in Chapainawabganj under the jurisdiction of the Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB), were handed over to the BSF for pushing into Bangladesh. BGB maintains strict surveillance there.

Two Indian nationals detained by local residents in the Utmachhara border area under the Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB) were pushed back to India following legal verification.

Besides, information has been received that 15-20 people have been brought at Bolishi Gitaram Government Primary School under Mahadev Police Station in India's Assam state, opposite to the Kachugara border under the Netrokona Battalion (31 BGB), for pushing them into Bangladesh.

Considering the possibility of a push-in through that area due to the absence of a barbed-wire fence in a section of the border, the BGB remains on highest alert.

Meanwhile, the BGB has unequivocally stated that no individual or group will be allowed to enter Bangladesh illegally through the border. Any push-in attempt that violates international border management, existing laws, and bilateral agreements will be strictly resisted. The BGB's intelligence surveillance, patrolling, and operational activities along the border have been intensified. The BGB remains firmly committed to protecting the sovereignty and border security of the country and is fully prepared to face any situation.
