At least five people were killed and 15 others injured after mango-laden truck and bus collided head-on in  Ghoraghat, Dinajpur on on Saturday (June 14).

The accident occurred at around 4:30 am in the Nurjahanpur area of ​​the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway in the upazila.

Nazmul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ghoraghat police station confirmed the matter.

However, police have yet to confirm the names of the victims.

The police and local sources said that several trucks loaded with mangoes were parked at the scene. A Dhaka-bound Nabil Paribahan bus leaving Panchagarh lost control and hit a truck from behind. Five people were killed on the spot.

Upon receiving the information, police, army and fire service personnel reached the spot and rescued the injured.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

She arrived in New York on September 17.

The prime minister will leave Washington DC for London, the capital city of the United Kingdom, on September 29.

She will stay in London till October 3.

After wrapping up her visit, the prime minister will leave London for home and scheduled to reach Dhaka on October 4.
