At least 19 people have died and 164 others injured after a Bangladesh Air Force aircraft crashed into a building of Milestone School and College in Uttara, according to the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).

Injured pilot Flight Lieutenant Toukir Islam Sagar died at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, it said.

In a press release issued on Monday, ISPR shared the hospital-wise list of casualties.

Bangladesh Air Force's F-7 BGI training aircraft took off at 13:06 on Monday (July 21) and crashed at 13:18 pm.

Most of the injured have been admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. The identities of the deceased are not yet known.

"An MoU will be signed between the National Payments Corporation of India and the Bangladesh Bank to make transactions in rupees and taka between Bangladesh and India easier," said the foreign minister in a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday.

Besides, the neighbouring countries are likely to sign two more memorandums of understanding regarding cooperation in agricultural researches, and extension of the existing cultural exchange programme for two years, said the foreign minister.
