The sitting of the second session of the 13th Parliament (budget session 2026) will resume at 3:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday, at the National Parliament building.

The Public Examinations (Offences) (Amendment) Bill, 2026 is likely to be passed in the Parliament in order to bring changes to the existing law of 1980.

Besides, the Bogura University Bill, 2026 will be placed in a bid to abolish the existing Bogura University of Science and Technology, according to the schedule.

Earlier on June 30, the second session of the current parliament was adjourned immediately after the passage of the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

"An MoU will be signed between the National Payments Corporation of India and the Bangladesh Bank to make transactions in rupees and taka between Bangladesh and India easier," said the foreign minister in a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday.

Besides, the neighbouring countries are likely to sign two more memorandums of understanding regarding cooperation in agricultural researches, and extension of the existing cultural exchange programme for two years, said the foreign minister.
