Four more suspected measles patients died in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same period, 1,046 measles and measles-like symptoms cases were reported nationwide.
According to the DGHS data, since 15 March, a total of 39,325 suspected measles cases have been identified nationwide. Of them a total of 5,218 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
DGHS data show that between 15 March and 2 May, a total of 26,911 suspected patients have been hospitalised so far. Of them, 23,225 have been recovered and released.
The DGHS said the total number of confirmed measles deaths between March 15 and May 2 stood at 49. In addition, 235 children have died with symptoms consistent with measles.
