Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today greeted the countrymen and Muslims across the world on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.

In a message, the Prime Minister said Eid-ul-Azha carries the profound message of sacrifice, piety, self-purification and devotion to the Almighty Allah, reminding believers of the highest ideals of faith.

He said the holy festival returns every year with renewed inspiration for spiritual upliftment and complete submission to the will of the Creator.

“I extend my heartfelt Eid Mubarak to the people of Bangladesh and Muslims across the world on this auspicious occasion. I also convey Eid greetings to the global community,” he said.

The Prime Minister said Muslims in Bangladesh and elsewhere are ready to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in the spirit of devotion and sacrifice.

He noted that the festival is not merely a celebration of joy, but a timeless expression of deep faith and sacrifice, and self-surrender to Almighty Allah.

Highlighting the significance of the occasion, he said the unwavering faith, unconditional obedience and supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) in submission to the command of the Almighty Allah make the day deeply meaningful for the Muslim Ummah.

He prayed to the Almighty Allah to accept the sacrifices of the faithful devotees and grant peace, security and stability to the motherland, the entire Muslim world and all humanity.

The Prime Minister also prayed for global peace, harmony and security.

“May this holy Eid-ul-Azha be filled with the spirit of sacrifice. May Allah accept our Qurbani and prayers and bless us with peace and prosperity through His infinite mercy,” he added.
