Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has handed over the 'July Memorial Mementoes' to the members of the family members of martyred and injured July warriors.
The Prime Minister handed over the mementoes to the representatives of the respective July martyrs on Saturday (July 4) at a convention held at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Center (Bangabandhu International Conference Center) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Saturday (July 4) morning.
The convention dubbed 'July National Convention-2026' was organised to mark the second anniversary of mourning and victory of the July-August 2024 Mass Uprising.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman handed over the mementoes to Abdur Rab Mia, father of martyr Miraj, who received the memento on behalf of his martyred son.
Besides, Uzzal Hossain, brother of Shaheed Selim; Al Miraj, a critically injured warrior of the July movement, and Md Aminul Islam Imon, an injured July warrior, received the 'July Memorial Memento' from the prime minister.
The event was jointly organised by 'July 2024 Shaheed Paribar Society' and 'Amra July Joddha.' It was presided over by Chief Whip of the National Parliament, Md Nurul Islam Moni.
The moderator of the convention said though the symbolic memorial mementoes were presented through the representatives at the podium, the mementoes of all July martyrs and injured warriors have been preserved separately. Those mementoes will be sent to the members of all martyred families and injured warriors.
