Member Secretary of AB Party, Mojibur Rahman Manju said on Wednesday that the current government is making many more mistakes than the previous autocrats in Bangladesh. For these mistakes the government has to pay a heavy price.
He called on the government to register effective political parties following the recommendations of the US Pre-Election Assessment Mission and hand over power to the caretaker government by resigning immediately.
Manju came up with this call during a media briefing at AB Party's central office in Vijayanagar today at 12:30 PM.
This media briefing was organized with the ongoing agitation program demanding the review of the recommendations of the US Election Observation Team and the resignation of the illegitimate government.
The party's joint convener, Advocate Tajul Islam, said that Bangladesh has reached a crossroads in its national life today.
He said those who have seized power illegally are giving excuses for the constitution in their each words. When the democratic countries of the whole world have come forward to save the democratic institutions of Bangladesh, the government is stubbornly said that they do not care about anyone.
Awami League today wants to isolate the country from the world like North Korea which we as a democratic political party cannot allow, he added.
Tajul Islam said, we applaud those who are playing a role in restoring the country's democracy including America, European Union.
The Election Commission did not register the AB Party. For this, Tajul Islam called the Election Commission as a slave commission of government and said that a fair election is not possible under this Election Commission.
Dhaka Metropolitan South Convenor BM Nazmul Haque, Senior Assistant Member Secretary Anwar Sadat Tutul, Juba Party Convener ABM Khalid Hasan, Assistant Member Secretary M Amjad Khan, Assistant Member Secretary Advocate Saeed Noman, Dhaka Metropolitan South Joint Convenor Abdul Halim Khokon and central and metropolitan leaders were present on the program.
