BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has been visiting different parts of the country including the North Bengal and South Bengal ahead of the upcoming 13th parliamentary elections.
Apart from the BNP workers and supporters, common people thronged every election rally of him.
As part of election campaign outside Dhaka, Tarique Rahman will be visiting Thakurgaon, Nilphamari and Dinajpur today.
Local leaders and workers said the BNP Chairman left for Thakurgaon district after getting down from plane at Syedpur Airport in Nilphamari district on Saturday (February 7) morning. he will join an election rally at Govt Boys High School ground in Thakurgaon town after getting down from a helicopter at Shaheed Mohammad Ali Stadium.
Then, he will join an election rally in Dinajpur via Nilphamari. On the occasion of Tarique Rahman's arrival, festive mood is now prevailing in all three districts.
Meanwhile, stringent security measures have been taken by law enforcing agencies centering Tarique Rahman's election rallies in three districts.
In 1977, the then President Ziaur Rahman and in 2001, BNP Chairperson late Khaleda Zia spoke at Birampur Govt College ground in Dinajpur district. Their elder son Tarique Rahman will also speak at the same ground this time.
