BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has formally concluded his election campaign visiting the graves of his parents – late President Ziaur Rahman and three-time Prime Minister Khaleda Zia – at Zia Udyan, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Monday night.
He reached Zia Udyan around 11:00pm along with the party leaders and workers after attending his last election rally held at Lalbagh Balurmath in the capital.
Tarique offered munajat for both of his parents seeking eternal peace for their departed souls.
On Monday, he attended eight electoral rallies of the party in Dhaka.
Tarique launched his campaign for the 13th National Parliamentary Election on January 22 last from Sylhet. Before beginning his formal electioneering, he visited the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and Hazrat Shah Paran (R), seeking blessings ahead of the polls.
The BNP leader addressed as many as 43 public rallies and roadside rallies visiting different divisional cities for his election campaign.
