Former education minister Dipu Moni has suddenly fallen sick at Munshiganj District Jail.
Then she was admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the capital.
She suddenly fell sick at about 6:00am on Monday (June 29) at the jail. It was confirmed by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Md Fazlu who brought her to the hospital.
The ASI said Dipu Moni was hurriedly taken to the Emergency Department of the DMCH at the directive of prison authorities after she fell sick inside jail. After preliminary treatment there, she was admitted to the Department of Medicine housed in the new building of the DMCH.
Dipu Moni was kept under the supervision of doctors after she was taken to the hospital at about 8:15am. Now, she is undergoing treatment under the Department of Medicine.
However, reasons about her sickness or detailed information of her physical condition could not be known immediately. Hospital sources said doctors are providing her necessary treatment keeping under supervision.
