The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for today (Wednesday, July 8) in all districts under the Chattogram Education Board have been postponed due to inclement weather and ongoing flood situation.
The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced the decision in a notice issued on Tuesday night.
The districts under the board are Chattogram, Rangamati, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban and Khagrachhari.
Taking the flood situation into consideration and based on reports submitted by all deputy commissioners under the Chattogram Education Board, the HSC, Alim, HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma in Commerce examinations scheduled for Wednesday have been postponed in all districts under the board, according to the notice signed by Professor Syed Aktaruzzaman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
The decision also applies to candidates of the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board in those districts.
The examinations scheduled for the same date under all other education boards, as well as for the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board in districts outside the jurisdiction of the Chattogram education board, will be held as scheduled, the notice added.
The revised schedule for the postponed examinations will be announced later.
