The funeral prayer (janaza) of the Ekushey Padak-winning artist and cultural personality Mustafa Monwar will be held at 9:00am on Tuesday (June 30) at the Bangladesh Television (BTV) premises.
Then his body will be taken to the Central Shaheed Minar for paying respect by the members of public from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
His second janaza will be held after 12:30pm at the Dhaka University Central Mosque.
The his body will be taken to the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University where his coffin will be kepty for half an hour to pay last respect by his colleagues and students.
The late artist will be laid to eternal rest at Banani Graveyard in the afternoon.
It may be noted that Mustafa Monwar breathed his last at around 9:30am on Monday (June 29) at a private hospital in the capital. He was 90. He had been suffering from bacterial lung infections and complications from pneumonia for a long time.
On June 14, he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition and was later moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Despite the utmost efforts of the doctors, it could not be possible to save him.
