12 more people have succumbed to dengue in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, bringing the death toll to 1,284 this year.
During the period, 2,014 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country," the DGHS daily statement added.
Of the new patients, 454 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest were outside the capital, DGHS said.
A total of 7,589 dengue patients, including 2,097 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
According to the statement, from January 1 to October 22 this year, a total of 257,060 people have been affected by dengue and 248,199 recoveries this year.
