Three more people died of dengue in the 24 hours until Monday morning, bringing the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 48 this year.
During the period, 492 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total infected-case to 12, 763 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Last year, 575 people died from dengue.
