One more individual died of dengue in the 24 hours till Sunday morning, raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 56 this year.
During the same period, 420 new patients were hospitalised with dengue, bringing the total number of infections to 14,880 since January, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Last year, 575 people died from dengue.
