Two more people died of dengue in the 24 hours till Monday morning, raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 58 this year.
During the same period, 330 new patients were hospitalised with dengue, bringing the total number of infections to 15,210 since January, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Last year, the total number of 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
