A Mirpur-bound passenger bus of Ashim Paribahan was set on fire on Sunday night at the North Badda area of the capital.
Fire Service Control Room Duty Officer Shajahan Sikder confirmed the incident and said the fire broke out at 8:35 pm on Sunday (December 14). "After receiving the information, two units of the Fire Service quickly reached the spot and started working to control the fire," he added.
Badda Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Nasirul Islam said the identity of those responsible for the arson was not immediately known.
Earlier, miscreants set fire on a moving passenger bus in the Gudaraghat area of Badda at around 7:45 pm on Friday (December 12). At that time, two units of the fire service brought the fire under control.
