Animal sacrifice is continuing across the country, including the capital city Dhaka, today (Friday), the second day of holy Eid-ul-Azha.
Affluent Muslims are sacrificing animals on the second day of the Eid-ul-Azha.
On Friday (May 29), sacrifices were seen taking place in various streets and alleys of the capital.
According to Islamic Sharia, animal sacrifice is permitted on the 10th, 11th, and 12th days of the month of Zil Hajj until sunset.
Some people who offered sacrifices on the second day stated that receiving Allah's pleasure is their primary goal. They want to share the joy of the festival with the poor and needy. Essentially, the animals that could not be sacrificed on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha due to a lack of time and opportunity are being sacrificed today (Friday).
Meanwhile, everyone is removing waste on their own initiative after the sacrifice.
On Eid-ul-Azha (May 28), animal sacrifices took place not only in the designated areas of the city corporation but also in the alleys, main roads, house garages, or sidewalks of the capital.
