The first return Hajj flight carrying 419 pilgrims has arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka today, Saturday, at 10:30am.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the airport authority were present at the airport to welcome the returning pilgrims.
The first return flight departed from King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah at 12:10am Saudi local time. This journey of pilgrims returning home began with Saudia Airlines flight SV-5806.
On the first day, 5,434 pilgrims will return home on 13 flights. Senior officials from the airport and the Ministry of Religious Affairs will be present to welcome them.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the return hajj flight operations to bring pilgrims back safely will continue until July 1, 2026.
It may be mentioned that on the night of April 17, Prime Minister Tariq Rahman inaugurated this year's Hajj flights at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The last flight carrying Hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh reached Saudi Arabia on May 21.
